How do I start?
After you contact me via email or by phone, we will set up a free consultation. During this consultation, we will discuss what you want made, the time frame, fabrics, embellishments, etc. If you have a reference picture, sketch ideas, or drawings that you have in mind, email them along with your request.
What is Next?
After our consultation I will give you an approximate price quote and a contract agreement. I will also show you some fabric swatches and accessory elements.
How Much will it cost?
Depending on the complexity of the garment, I charge a flat hourly rate plus the cost of supplies and sales tax.
When do I pay and how much up front?
Should you choose to move forward with having your piece custom made, you will need to sign the contract agreement and return it with 50% of cost as a deposit to cover item costs and initial labor, the other 50% will be due upon completion. This will also include shipping.
Will you need to take measurements and will I need to attend fitting?
Depending on the complexity of the garment, I will need to see you 2-4 times, one for measurements, first and final fittings, and more if needed. If a physical fitting cannot take place due to distance, please refer to the measurement chart and send measurements along with request.
How long does the process take?
Again, depending on the complexity of the garment and how booked I am, the average time is about 6-8 weeks, unless it’s a rush job.
I can’t wait 6-8 weeks. Can you make it quicker?
There is an additional fee for rush jobs. This fee varies depending on when the project is needed and the complexity of the garment.
